Up to $130,000 total; includes a fortnightly living allowance (stipend) of $43,500 (2025 full-time study rate), relocation allowance for students living outside Victoria, and limited paid sick, maternity and parental leave.

Eligibility Requirements

Australian citizens or permanent residents who have applied for and meet the entry requirements for a Doctor of Philosophy (graduate research) in Medicine, Law, Commerce, Economics or Architecture; applicants must not have already completed a research qualification at the same or higher level nor have previously received a graduate research scholarship with similar benefits. Preference is given to lineal descendants of Australian soldiers and sailors killed, blinded or permanently incapacitated in war service (priority to WWI).
